I happen to think this little squidlet is adorablebut if it were to invade a nightmare, that cute expressive mouth could easily take on some sinister, piranha-like characteristics. Promachoteuthis sulcus is very rare deep-sea squid known from a single, small (25 mm ML, sex unknown) but distinctive individual from great depths in the south Atlantic Ocean.

This particular one is a guide to developing the quality of equanimity (upekkha), or evenmindedness.
